It is said this species is very restrictedly distributed in SE Asia. The species is also found in Taiwan, but wild plant groups are not easily to be found in the habitat.
My plant was imported from south China, which is somewhat different from Taiwan's.

In fact, the species is a close kin of Den. Nobile which is also flowering now.

Den. nobile and its numerous hybrids have been prevailing universally.
Here is links show this species grown by local people on the palm trees in tropical Taiwan.
Hope I could grow my dendrobiums like this.
