Den Blue Bees
This was registered as (Den. lasianthera x Den. Blue Twinkle).
In 2018, there was a plant up for a silent auction at Deep Cut OS. It was (Den. Blue Twinkle x Den. lasianthera). I was interested, but concerned about how tall it might grow, so I asked our speaker (a certain Mr. Alan Koch). His answer: 'It will stay short'.
Obviously I did not know, that Den. lasianthera can grow canes up to 10' tall!
It is currently in bloom (of course, in between judging dates), with approx. 22 spikes, most on the two larger canes, which are 44" & 48" respectively.

Wow!
You could put it to work and hang mounts from it.

It is the type of plant, where you do not really know what to do with it.

Wow! The blooms are quite nice, though. Hopefully, one year it will be even more spectacular when there is a chance it can be judged.
Maybe he thought that four foot was reasonable compared to ten feet?

That's a fantastic looking Den! The cloud of blooms is just amazing, especially the color.
I guess 4ft could be considered 'short' if 10ft is your reference point...

The flowers actually held for the June AOS judging. All buds were had opened, and only a few of the oldest flowers (open since May 10th or so) had faded.
While it did not earn a flower quality award, the +/-600 open flowers on well spaced inflorescences did appeal to the judges, who gave it a 90 pt CCE/AOS.
