Repot? Female
Default Repot?

Got this new dendrobium

Has 4 new canes at the bottom and one keiki on the cane.

1) I want to separate the keiki, any tips on how to do it?
2) should I repot? Or not yet

Thanx!!

Repot? Male
Default

I would wait until it's done flowering to repot. Shake off the old medium. Don't be meticulous about it. Pot into a pot just large enough to hold the root mass. It might wind up being smaller than that pot. Try not to damage new roots. Add new medium. Dens in active growth should not dry out, and use a lot of water.

You could separate the keiki now. Put into a small pot and water a lot.
