Epigeneium treacherianum
Epigeneium has been lumped into Dendrobium, but to me flowers and growth habit are distinctly different. Not changing my tags. I grow it in a plastic basket, on the warm/intermediate side. It is a climber, and didn't bloom until it climbed partly out of the basket, with roots in the air. So clearly it doesn't like being confined. High humidity is desirable to keep those aerial roots happy. It is native to Borneo and the Philippines. I have seen photos of spectacular specimen plants... mine has a ways to go, but I do have a second spike on the way, hoping that it'll mature while this one is still open.

Thanks. Flowers also have heavy substance. I like the shading from pink to red. Somehow reminds me of candy.

That is such a great colour and I like the shape of the blooms as well, a bit big for me to attempt so I'll enjoy yours.

Shape and bloom color is very attractive as well as the shorter spike.

I can detect the tiniest trace of fragrance, I think. Might be a slight bonus, but very slight.
