Oh yeah, I'd definitely go for mounting these guys. Try to get as much humidity and light as possible, Remember, I could grow them in full sun, with lots of air movement. It doesn't need a huge piece of mount, however, it needs a lot of space lol....the canes can get very long if they like the environment.
Here's how you will go about mounting these:
-Placing moss on the mount
-Putting the orchid on top of the moss
-Secure the whole thing with wire
Gradually orchid roots will grow into the moist surface of the moss and secure itself to the mount, and you will be set to go. The best time to mount these guys is when you see new roots forming. It will have the best chance of survival that way.
The whole plant when they gets big will have a cascading look. The way to determine if they have enough sun is when you see red/maroon freckles on the surface of the leaves and the cane. Most daily or twice daily when mount. Always keep air moving.
