Default Transitioning dendrobiums to semi-hydro

Lots of stuff coming in the mail lately

Just received my dendrobium spectabile and tobaense in the mail yesterday. I am eager to transition them to semi-hydro, and was hoping to get people's opinion on whether or not these new canes counts as enough "active growth" to safely transition them. From the surface I don't see any new roots coming from the new canes.

Spectabile:

Tobaense (yellowing leaves probably due to heat of transport):

If it were you, would you wait or go ahead and do it??

The stage of plant growth is far less important than whether or not new roots are emerging from the base.

Roots don’t transition; root systems do, by replacing the old roots with new ones.

good luck with that tobaense

the spctabile is, in my experience, pretty hardy and you can transition it to SH whenever you want
