I'm not a big fan of nobile's fragrance, but still nice to have one in the collection. Some staking was done to make it more tidy...they tends to ramble if not staked, and the tall size (around 50 cm) of its canes makes it little bit ugly.

This species does get a little untidy in its growth habits. But when they flower in abundance--like yours is doing now--I am more than happy to forgive them for what we might consider to be their faults (which, really, aren't faults at all as far as the plant is concerned). Congratulations on the blooms. They're quite impressive.

I really like using support stakes with a loop to contain these guys. I love the look of the canes when they are forced into a neat bunch. I just buy steel wire and make the a steel loop and stakes.

I love the fragrance. Is yours sweet and spicy?

Mine is a bit too much spicy...kind of scent of rose mixed with pepper and alcohol. lol
