Den Nobile lucky bird holiday

Bought this one in July 2019 from eBay. Seller told its a mature and big plant..... but looks like it is a 2 plant combo grown in a pot from few years (roots tangled like crazy) and I decided to not disturb this orchid and just repotted after arrival.

It grew 2 new canes (one each from individual plant) but both plants are not in sync.... means, one grows new growth while other drops the leaves and tries to go dormant.

Problems apart..... one plant grew 2 flower spikes.... it took
More than a month for them to start opening.... few pictures and I will keep this thread posted....

This is a husky plant and there is one new pseudo bulb coming out for one plant and another plant has a pseudo bulb in half way to maturity....

May be I have to divide this plants in future ?

Is it mandatory for Nobile orchids to have a long winter rest? Need some advice from experienced folks with Nobile orchids. Thank you!

part of the "risks" of ebay purchases.

the Orchid looks good for now and i do not know how you can separate those without causing trauma to one of them...i'd try to time it so both are gowning and then just divide it as if it were one plant..
if they are both in active growth then you have the best chance they will suit them selves to the new pot and thrive.

I was able to rebloom mine by putting it in my coldest window (which wasn't very cold) in bright light with no water until I saw buds starting. But for me, it wasn't worth the hassel.

I had one rebloom for me indoors. It grows on an east facing window sill. I stopped fertilizer and cut way back on watering until I saw buds and it put on a good show.

There are a lot of hybrids. Pedigree likely plays a role in how much of a rest any given plant requires.
