I LOVE Latouria Dendrobiums! Who else is with me?

This is one of my absolute favorite hybrids between one of my favorite species Dendrobium atroviolaceum and Dendrobium johnsoniae. Waiting to detect a fragrance but the blooms are still opening. I’ll try putting him in sunlight and see. Right now he’s been under bright grow lights.

The spots are just the best! Can’t recommend Latouria Dendrobiums enough 😊

Nice job! Your foliage looks great too. I'm waiting for mine to bloom. Mine seem to need a lot of water... I'll remember they're your favorites when I thin my herd again. 😉

They’ve become my favourites. I’ve been able to rebloom them and they do well in my growing conditions

Haha why thank you, much appreciated 😉😆
Yeah I had to move them into semi-hydro because they are thirsty beasts! Canes would shrivel within a day or two otherwise.

Which Latouria do you have? Hope yours will bloom again soon! 😊

Mine are in intermediate conditions. They could probably use a tad more light than an east window. In my area, they need very frequent watering. Mine are in moss and clay pots but, I let them dry out too much this summer and the leaves are spotted black. Eventually, they'll drop off.

So, good light, frequent watering. Snowflake is the easiest and best in my opinion.

Meeeee! I love Latouria Dens and the hybrids from this group are so rewarding. Super long lasting blooms on frequently flowering evergreen plants that rebloom in old canes? Sign me up. The Roy Tokunaga is definitely one of the more impressive hybrids imo, it’s a show stopper for sure.
