D.Roy Tokunaga - Orchid Board

Hi All,

Just got this orchid from someone that just got back from Hawaii. I can not find any reference to this one. On the tag it shows,"D.Roy Tonkunaga x D.Roy Tokunaga" I get so confused in trying to see pixs of them. Help

You have a Den. Roy Tokunaga. quiltergal a member on this board has one, or just Google it. Jim.

That same friend brought me an orchid from Hawaii too! Boy, was that a treat! Diane and I were doing the little happy dances.

Mine is called Den. Spotted Gecko. . .anyone know anything about this one? How to best care for it? What the blooms might look like?

I did find the names of the parents under Latouria Dendrobiums:

Den. Roy Tonkunaga x Den. Wonder Nishii

Our friends, bought these from Olomana Orchids in Kaneohe, Hawaii and they may both by hybrids by Peter K. Neifert or his brother.

I've had a Den. Roy Tokunaga for several years and is in spike right now. I will have to post a pic. when the buds open. A little slow in opening but my nights are still pretty cool her in So. Ga.

No I don't have one, but I want one. Does that count?

They are very pretty. I'm sure you will like it. Think creamy flowers with hints of dark purple in the lip.

old post here but i found it and thought let you know H&R Nurseries Orchids is Roy Tokunaga and hes the dendrobium king and thats his hybrid crosses...Dr Roy

calling Dr Roy!! he was in town a few weeks giving a lecture on what else Growing Dendrobiums..I had to work that day and didnt get to the summer workshop but Roy has some nice plants and is a genuine nice guy..wish I had some time to pick his mind some
