I wanted to see if anybody has experience growing dendrobium parishii in an indoor setting.
My culture has a temp of ~77F with maybe a few degrees cooler in winter. And I have a southeast window. Would a month long dry period alone be sufficient to create blooms?
I could also provide a southeast porch with a very thin overhead shade cloth, but this might be too bright. And a Northwest covered porch, but this might not be bright enough.
From my experience: Mine got bright light under a light covering in summer. Generously watered and food when I remembered.
In the early fall, before frost, I brought it in and hung it in a southeast window corner right next to the glass (colder there). I withheld water until I saw bud nubs, then watered sparingly. But my climate is colder than yours. Hope this helps.
