I've just been looking at the DEFRA site (UK regs for plant/animal products import/export). Obviously the EU Plant Passport is no longer valid for importing plants into the UK and the new regs are being introduced in 3 stages:
Now, Spring and Summer.
I can quite understand EU vendors either stopping completely the sending of plants to the UK, or, as I hope is the case, they are temporarily stopping and will resume once the new regs are fully in place. Who would want to have to change the process 3 times in 6 months? There is also an additional charge of just over £5 for the accompanying docs to be checked in UK, adding to the costs.
