Need Dendrobium ID Male
Default

@ Sandra75
I have successfully grown and flowered many of the D.nobile species and hybrids, and other Dendrobium section Dendrobiums while living in Alaska at 61°N where there is only 4-1/2 hrs of winter solstice daylight.
With the proper culture you should be able to get this to bloom again with few problems.

While many Nobile hybrids do not need as much winter cooling as many of species plants do, most react well to at least several weeks in Jan and Feb. or so. of temps down into the mid to low 60°s F.
Water should also be greatly reduced, not so much that you damage the plant, though.
Never let the pb's shrivel more than slightly, just enough to see that they are dry.
Fertilizer should be virtually eliminated until it begins to show growth in the spring.

Most of these Dens originate from the Himalayan foothills and a monsoonal climate.
Their winter skies clear off.
It gets very sunny, the night temps cool down and rain becomes sparse.
They usually still get morning dew daily.

A cool dry winter rest is generally what they want.
Just don't make it too severe.
