Paph niveum and painting
First blooming on this Paph niveum x sib (‘Full Moon’ x ‘Jumbo Snow Ball’).
I had to try out painting too. I haven't painted for years and this is my first time using canvas. I think the writing on the bottom is a bit too large; it's hard writing with a paintbrush.

Some personal opinion/constructive criticism:
If I was at an art show and saw that, I'd buy it, but only if it didn't have the writing at the bottom.

...yea, I think you are right Ray. Maybe I should re-write it smaller (I think I need to buy a finer paintbrush for that) , or just black it out completely?

The painting is beautiful but I agrree about the writing, just a very small signature. But you have a real talent, keep on!

So I purchased one of these little plants for $5 at our monthly meeting in October...just needed a picture of it. Low & behold I had no idea I would find the picture here (yeah it's been a while!) and that you have this gorgeous painting of it too! Color me impressed!
I agree with the writing on it as well....and Fren I noticed you live in Edmonton. Are you a member of the Orchid Society of Alberta? Just curious because I am on the executive and I REALLY think you should put that painting into the show in February 2008....you will definitely win a ribbon for it!
