My paph `Lona` (bellatulum x ferrianum) is yellowing the bottom leaves after getting it and they are not just drying up, they are going brown/yellow and the upper leaves have a strange yellow spots under them. please help. this does not look like usual leaf drop. the plant does not have a new growth yet. i brought it a few days ago and this happened.

is it lack of water or a disease?

First of all, it's Paph. Iona, not Lona.

Did you repot it? Are you keeping it evenly moist?

In all honesty, if you've only had it a few days, I'd say it might have been in "iffy" condition when you got it, and now it has progressed to the point of showing.

It definitely looks like cold damage, possibly in shipping. Any idea on the weather conditions between you and the seller while the plant was in shipping? I've seen more than a few arrive near-dead from cold damage.

the weather was cold when it arrived but luckily the newer leaves have not gone brown, it seems like it will pull through
