Paph. Iantha Stage
One of my favorite primary hybrids (sukhakulii x rothschildianum) in my collection. Natural spread of the rear flower is 18cm. And it has attractive foliage, too.

This is one of the most outstanding Paph hybrids out there. Of course, roth makes a lot of really great hybrids -- often enhancing the lip color, flower count, and flower size of almost anything it's crossed with. These flowers sound quite large, and to have 2 open at once is really nice.

These are amazing. Roth is a great parent. On Thursday a member of our orchid society brought in a Paph. Vanguard, which is glaucophyllum x rothschildianum. It was a lot like this, but with huge amounts of hair on the petals.

I've had that one in the past. Unfortunately, all my photos from back then are on film and the price of coverting them to digital is prohibative (they were in a 2¼ x 2¼ format). |
