This is a hilarious thread! Helen - uh oh... the RGB show is coming up this weekend! Maybe you should bring hubby and have him see how glorious the displays are ... then tell him that if you get more orchids, your living room can look like that too! (a bit of a lie, but it's still partially true! )

I'm currently relationship-less, and my qualms are with my dear mother...but strangely she's become quite tolerant of my plants (she used to complain about how there's not enough space in the house bla bla bla). Not too sure what's caused the change ..maybe there are various stages leading down the path of acceptance! The first stage is denial (it's just a phase, they won't really be serious about this), the second stage is irritation (what? another plant? You can't be serious! One day I'm going to rip all your plants out and chuck em!), the third stage is fear (oh no...is that another cardboard box? from that oakhill place?! It can't be...wait...oh cr** yes it is!), and ultimately if your lucky, your SO will grow to accept your hobby
