I do have a couple of questions for you since you seem to know a lot about Paphs and delenatii in particular. When this plant bloomed it had two buds. Just as the second bud was opening the petals and sepals on the first flower started to turn brown. It had been blooming for about 2 weeks. As soon as the second one was fully open the first one dropped. I'm not sure how long the flowers are supposed to last, but that seemed kind of a short bloom time to me. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong culturally? It's on the top shelf of my rack in relatively bright light. Gets watered twice a week. Once with 125 ppm N MSU, and once with tap water.

Terri,
Ah, the plant pictures are of the
Paph. Ho Chi Minh in the first post?
Paph. vietnamense has short lived flowers that take a while to mature. I've had one last year bloom without me taking notice because it only lasted for a few days.
Paph. delenatii is a much faster grower, and typically produces two flowers per inflorescence. In
Paph. Ho Chi Minh, the flowers are more short lived and the double blooms seem to be more dominant. A combination of the two will essentially leave the first flower to bloom for a short time, while the second bud is slowly developing, and blooms after the first flower is finished. I think that has happened on one of my
Paph. Ho Chi Minh a while back.
There should be a faint raspberry fragrance with your
Paph. Ho Chi Minh that may take a couple days to appear...
