Default Mystery Paph

I received this Paph as a rescue with no tag. I revived it from near death and with 6 months it had a new fan and a bloom. Has been slowly opening for 3 weeks and it finally showed it's colors. Any ideas of parentage?

The only thing that can be said about the ID with certainty is that it is a hybrid with Paph sukhakulii ancestry. If it was purchased as a big box / grocery store plant in the last 5 years, Paph Hsinying Alien is a possibility, but just one of many.

Also, I live in Connecticut, and all of our big box/grocery stores only carry no idea phals. On one occasion, I found a colmanara wildcat at Lowe's. That was extremely lucky, as it was included in a phal shipment by accident. Because it wasn't in spike, it immediately went onto the clearance rack for 5$. If any big box carried Paphiopedilums, I would be broke😂

I've never known J&L to sell Paphs. Perhaps they would know. Without some additional info it can only be a NoID.

I've never seen them on there either. It is a very nice save though.

They generally carry many models orchids at the greenhouse that's what they sell online. I reached out to them, and they responded very promptly. She told me that it was a maudiae type hybrid. Couldn't narrow it down anymore than that. Either way, I love it.

A great one for a NOID. Congrats.
