That was kind of my point to the question. To my mind, it doesn't increase the value of the plant because it's not an award for quality. You're paying the AOS for a "look what I did" award with no payback on the other end.

Wow, what a show, I just got my first paph last weekend- I hope I'll be able to grow it as well as you (or at least keep it alive, lol).

While the plant is being screened by the AOS judges, it could qualify for a flower quality award (if comparable or better than previous awards), besides the cultural award. There are many occasions when that happens when a plant receives both awards on the same judging.
That being said, the worth of a plant isn't determine whether it has an award or not. It's worth is determined by two factors; how well it does and how beautiful a display it can present. In your case, both factors are a wow! And I feel it's worth the recognition!

Yours is beautiful. Mine currently has 3 bi-floral spikes, but unfortunately has never been fragrant.

I am just dreaming of the time in 5-7 years when my little 1 "hand" delenatii will have 6 blooms and buds galore ready to burst in to bloom behind them!

Gorgeous! How do you get such prolific and healthy growth?
