Paph King Charles Male
Default Paph King Charles

This is a complex x species hybrid, which is the type of breeding that intrigues me - in particular if the species is fairrieanum, charlesworthii or spicerianum.

King Charles = (Wawona Maiden x charlesworthii). Since Wawona Maiden is (Hellas x charlesworthii), this plant is 75% charlesworthii.

I recently purchased a group of these from The Orchid Zone. The first one to bloom looks like a keeper.

It's interesting. I am more a spots and lines type, so solid colors do not thrill me. I like the glossyness, the veins, something seems to be missing.
