Multifloral Paphiopedilum ID Help/Thoughts
Question Multifloral Paphiopedilum ID Help/Thoughts

I was at Lucas, a large local nursery here in the Orlando area yesterday and saw this interesting Paphiopedilum NOID. It was being sold for $19.99 and had no tag or label. The clerk at checkout was only able to find out it is a Paphiopedilum, which I of course already knew, but thanked her and went on my way. I bought it since I am hoping it is something in particular, but before mentioning which, I want to see if somebody on here can positively ID the orchid based on the following photos. I know the plant is a tad beat up and the flowers are on their way out, but I am hoping nonetheless that the photos provide enough details of the flower and the plant. Thank you everyone in advance!

It's got philippinense in it for certain. I'm also getting an adductum or anitum vibe from it as well. However, I don't think it's Addicted Phillip. Might be some roth in the background as well.

Thank you for the input MrHappyRotter.

Let me first say that I am a novice when it comes to the genus Paphiopedilum. I only had three species until now (hybrid). These are P. druryii, P. kolopakingii and P. rungsuriyanum. I hope I do well with that last one

I'll admit, I was hoping it was a P. rothschildianum. But, oh well, you win some and lose some. Anyone else have any ideas?

Anyways, since I don't really do hybrids, this will make an excellent gift when I re-bloom it.

The species mentioned are all related and grow similarly. It might have some roth in it. It's a good find for a TJ. If you talk to the manager he/she may give you a contact to the supplier, who may be able to identify it for you.

Nice looking plant. Can't say myself, no expert.

Found a couple of links that may help narrow down the identification further, if the supplier could not confirm the ID.

If you've already Identified it, could you let us know please?
