Default Nice small haul (love it!) Phaph and Phrag!

Bought 2 plants on Ebay, and just unpacked them about an hour ago, and took a picture! Here is my new Phapiopetalum Berenice: And my Phrag Nicholle Towerii!

I already transplanted the Berenice, but the Nicolle Towerii has 2 spikes, so I am leaving it!

Both had a somewhat quick trip! Somehow the stars were right, and they were not taken down by a major storm.

They are pretty big plants! However not so big which I like a lot.

Here is the Paph! Not bad, 3 growths. I am assuming a few more years till flowers, to judge by my other Paph.

This is the Phrag! I like this, and want to get one of those that look like Grande. If anyone wants to get rid of one in around March, just PM me. (Nicholle has 2 spikes, one on the other side, but I will just show one, and post another picture when she has her flower).

Oh! I think I might have a small sheath down the center of the Paph Berniece! I guess I will wait and see! A lot of these first spikes are often duds, unless this is a division, which is a possibility.

I love these. I already determined that I do better (or orchids do better around me) if I have sympodial orchids. The "hands" of these plants gives me that back-up node. I also really like the kinds of orchids that you can water alot. Maybe it is because I tend to overwater.

I love the rothchild type paphs and also the longer petaled phrags. I did not know If I would like the red besseae type flower, but the Nicholle tower did not look like crunchy christmas candy to me. It's sexier, I guess. My next purchase in phrag-land will be a longifolium of some kind. And in paph-land, I love the venustians and the beletulum types.
