Paph Temptation - 1st blm sdlg w 7 flowers/buds
Temptation = philippinense x kolopakingii. This is a first bloom seedling from Lehua, with 7 (possibly 8) flowers and buds on the spike. I believe that both parents were alba or albescent, but the flowers do have some color.
More photos will follow when it has more flowers open.

I like all the space between the blooms, really frames each flower.

My breeding tends to be directed towards minis, so I am not really contemplating pollinating this one. On the other hand, if I come across something interesting, who knows.

I don't see 7 (possibly 8) blooms. Only 4, a hint of 5, and possibly a 6th one unless it blasts. Love to see the photo with that many. Were they all on the same spike?
(just noticed how old this thread is)

With philippinense parent, the flowers develop over some time (in the photo you cannot see the tip of the inflorescence). I do not recall how many flowers it produced in the end. And, the plant was lost in a December 2017 freeze, so I do not have it any longer.
I took the plant to AOS judging back in 2015. One of the judges told me afterwards, that they would have awarded it 'if all the flowers had been open'. With philippinense parent that is of course an impossibility.

Maybe not.
Try spraying the inflorescence, buds and flowers with a 1:250 Kelpak solution. The material is naturally high in chemicals that slow senescence, so may shift that “impossibility” a bit.
I have seen phrags that typically display a blossom at a time, only holding two for a day or two after a new one opens, retain as any as 5.
