Paph callosum, var Thailandense
I have had a fondness for this species going back almost 50 years.
A couple of years ago I found seedlings of var Thailandense on Ebay, so I picked up a couple. Plants were healthy, but had been grown too dark, so they were stretching (leaves abt 3/8" apart vertically).
I have them back to normal growth, and both budded up this spring. One with a single bud, and the other with a double (which is a fairly common occurrance in callosum).
The first flower just opened. Depite a fairly large plant size for callosum, the flower on this variety are on the small side. This one measures 77 mm (3.03") NS, with a 40 mm (1.9/16") wide dorsal.

Does the dorsal stay flat or did the margins reflex after the flower had been in bloom a while? Very nice.

I sorta expected that question, so I took another photo a week later. It curved back a little, but not near as bad as many other plants.
