I actually kind of forgot about delenatii v. album. I'm not usually a fan of album variety slippers, though I think primulinum and certainly delenatii pull it off quite well. Sometimes it doesn't dawn on me that people love these types of flowers when it comes time to make suggestions.

Perhaps in a few years I'll have some known-fragrant divisions to offer up, but for now my two plants are still a bit young. The vini, though, the scent on that is remarkable.

Hope your new acquisition does well. Everybody's conditions are different, and fortunately delenatii appears to be quite adaptable. But, yes, as with many orchids, you might have to be willing to experiment a little until you find what works best for you and your plant.

Well I got a Delenatii Its a little guy only 3 years old.

I am surprised at how small it is. It is a very healthy looking plant. Hope I can give it what it needs.

It came in this tiny plastic pot with holes in the bottom. It was planted with LARGE bark. It came from Hawaii so I am sure that works well for them. But for me my plants need more moisture retaining mix so I repotted it.

Here is my new little plant. I love the Leaves so much and I really like this plant even without the flower.

Beautiful little plant with great foliage patterns! Do you mind saying where you got it? It is on the small side but looks to be in great health, and newer strains of these seem to stay more compact than older. How were the roots when you repotted?

Thanks . I got it on eBay from a seller in HI. Forgot the name. He still has some left.

The roots were amazing good color and fuzzy! This is a very healthy plant small but healthy.

You might think it's small, but that's a near blooming size. I bet it will flower next year with good care.

Yeah it is said to be 3 years old. The person also said it should bloom in a year. Fingers crossed because it does look so small to me.

While plant size can vary among individuals, many delenatii stay quite small.
My first bloom this year came from a small plant with a leaf span of about 5 inches (which is about the same size as yours I think?).
I have another one in low spike and that one is even smaller.

Grow it well and it should flower next spring/summer.
