Default Paphiopedilum delenatii

This plant came with a tag saying it is Lynleigh Koopowitz.
As it came into bud, I knew the tag was incorrect.
I am happy with the flower. very cute.

I agree, very cute!! And such a long spike! How did you manage to get the correct ID?

Yep, it looks like a delenatii or at least showing that blood strongly.

Well, isn't a photo deceiving? lol
The whole thing is quite petit. The spike is only about 8'' tall actually. so it's like the smallest flowering paph I have other than brachys.

Regarding the name, it is just clearly delenatii.

I keep buying LK because there is certain look I want in my LK that I'm in search of.
Typical LK is something I don't find pretty with those hound dog ear petals.

So I am very happy this plant turned out the way it did.

Plus, I did not pay very much either, so this is a good accident!

The pouch looks darker than the typical form but not as dark as 'dunkel' (nor is the foliage like 'dunkel'). Do you think this could be the two forms bred together?
