Paphiopedilum delenatii v. dunkel

I can't take credit for blooming it, since I acquired it in bud. Original source is presumed to be Quintal Farms (per the name tag). This has been on my wish list for awhile, but since I already have a delenatii, I hadn't invested much effort into looking for one. But when I saw the foliage on this dunkel, the plant was in my hands before I knew what I was doing.

Photos aren't that great, if I find time, I may snap a few more once the flower is fully open. It's already developed a bit of scent, and since the flower just started opening, I'm thinking this could be a good sign that it'll be a nice and fragrant one!

Also, as with a lot (maybe all) of these dunkels, it's nice and small. Tip to tip leaf span is about 5.5 inches (14 cm). That's smaller than the natural spread on some of my phrag flowers.

Oh, quick update. I still haven't taken better photos yet, but the flower is maintaining nice shape so far. But the best thing? The fragrance. It could just be faulty memory, but it seems to be stronger than other delenatiis I've smelled, and the scent is there from morning, and lasts for awhile even after the lights go out.

A few more photos. The shape held up fairly well, but as you can see it's not perfectly symmetrical. I think it's wonderful. Great color, nice fragrance, and amazing leaves.
