At this stage of the game, I'm going to assume this is as much as the flower will open. Although I still hope to get a plant with flatter flowers at some point in the future, if I can just get this one to live and bloom again, I'll be happy.

The scent isn't particularly strong, but it is nice. The only description I can come up with is perhaps a little confusing. You know how citrus flowers have a really beautiful, sweet fragrance that's nothing like the fruit? Well, the fragrance of this plant is like citrus flowers mixed with a very light dose of citrus fruit. It is distinct from any malipoense hybrid I've encountered.

I absolutely love veining in the petals, but my favorite feature of this clone is that the pouch stance is reminiscent of some Cypripediums.

Yours is very green. I hope my baby turns out that green as well. I prefer this over greyish green ones.
I also do not like heavy dark veining on malipoense.

Mine is barely 2 inch across, so it has a lot of growing to do. It's been frustratingly slow, so I'm not sure if this is a good plant. lol
