A winter blooming primary hybrid of Paphiopedilum insigne and spicerianum, registered 130 years ago under 19 synonyms. One of the easiest Paphis to grow and flower.

That is not Leeanum = (insigne x spicerianum). Leeanum has light speckling (from insigne spots).
Photo shows Paph Lathamianum = (spicerianum x villosum).
Both were common in cut flower trade in Europe up through the 1970's.
