Well, this is an excellent first Paph. It's also a pretty good option for someone's first orchid as well. It's a hybrid that should be about as adaptable to a variety of conditions as you could possibly hope to find.

These do not need any kind of "winter rest". Grow them warm to intermediate year round, and when large enough, they can stay in bloom for most of the year. They're sometimes called everblooming. Resist the urge to over water, but keep in mind that paphs generally should not ever be allowed to dry out completely between waterings. Once or twice a week watering is usually sufficient indoors. Light levels should be at the same level you'd provide a Phalaenopsis at minimum, but these would do better with a bit more light to help support blooming.

Your Paph is a sequential bloomer. It will produce flowers in succession from the same spike. Usually it will only have 1 flower open at a time, though 2 at a time isn't uncommon, and even 2 - 3 is possible. But, as one flower ages and drops off, generally the next one will be opening up.

As MrHappyRotter says, this is a sequential bloomer. A mature plant can produce two dozen or more flowers per spike before the spike begins to loose vigor. A multi growth plant with several spikes can indeed be "everblooming". Good choice!

You have gotten the right advice.

The one thing I would add for any Paph is to plan to repot regularly - in spring, at least every other year, but every year is better if you have poor water quality. Or any time there is any possibility the medium has gone bad or the roots aren't healthy.

With this one in particular, because it can be in bloom continuously people make the mistake of waiting to repot. Don't wait, just do it. It will almost always continue to bloom anyway, or maybe blast one bud, but the next is usually just a month away.
