Yeah, that's the great fun about these paphs.
They can come out sooooo different.
I still haven't done what I always meant to do, which is visiting a greenhouse full of these bulldogs in bloom and I am allowed to roam around and pick whatever I like.
Bulldogs just started to come out in full force in the flower stores here, but I was rather disappointed that many of them looked horrible with leaves with brown rust diseases and spikes all half broken up in shipping...one particular store had many fresh and pristine looking paphs in tight buds but none had a tag! it was still very tempting since the plants were all small like yours, around 12'' or so.
I wouldn't mind having great looking NOID with small leaves, but many of these come out looking bad or just so so, and it is not worth paying quite a bit of money on mystery when I already have quite a few myself.
so looking forward to that greenhouse visit one day!!!
