A little wonky premiere bloomer that struggled to open its first flower.

Considering my complaining about the lack of colour on my Phrag, it's quite surprising that I don't mind it at all on my tonsum. I think it's because this species isn't known for being colourful, while my Phrag has the potential to be.

I'm very happy with this one, and I love the olive green/brown colour and the glossiness. It was very hard capturing the colour correctly, but I think I came pretty close.

It's not so bright but very pretty, I like the spots.

I like how shiny tonsum flowers are and they usually have beautiful leaves also.
I have a tonsum hybrid (crossed with a vini maudiae type plant) that is spiking at the moment.
It has beautiful leaves and the flower last year was just gorgeous! overall strong tonsum influence, the glossy texture and the overall shape, and then the color was colorful coloratum. I'm so looking forward to it!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Although it isn't the most colourful Paph species around, I really like it.

The flower is now living in a glass of water, since the plant is just a single growth one, so to save some energy, I cut the flower.
