Default paphiopedilum ho chi minh

Hallo everyone , my Paph. Ho Chi Minh has flowered for the first time since I bought it( seedling) and at this moment it has 2 spikes. One spike has 1 flower and also a small bud, the other only has 1 bud at this moment that I can spot. I read online that the flowers are fragrant but i dont notice any fragrance, will they become fragrant or are they only a certain time? Also I would like to divide it when the flowers drop, it is a very large and heathy plant. I will post fotos tomorrow. The flowers have been open a week or so.

Here is the bloom wich has a faint smell of roses.
Could the last picture be a seed pod forming.

Every seedling is going to vary in how fragrant it is. Some may come out with practically no scent, others will be faint, and then some will be fairly noticeable when you stick your nose up to the bloom.

Also, some folks either can't smell these types of scents or have a very hard time detecting them.

As you might've noticed, the fragrance tends to develop after the flower has been fully opened for a day to several days. The flowers are mostly only fragrant during the day, with some clones being fragrant throughout the full day, some clones being fragrant primarily in the morning to mid-afternoon.

The plant, as you state, is large and healthy but appears to consist of just two mature growths and maybe some new growth not evident in the photos. Is there a reason that you want to divide it already? Most Paphs do better when grown into multi growth specimens.

Ho Chi Minh flowers often last only a week or a little more. Fragrant tends to be slight or variable.

The picture where you ask about the seed pod... Looks like a typical Paph ovary to me, far too soon to see any development as a seed pod.

When dividing Paphs, each division should have at least 2 mature growths and a new growth coming, or it can have a big set-back and probably not bloom for a couple years. One growth divisions without new growth coming can have a pretty high mortality rate unless it is a very vigorous plant getting excellent care.

when I was repotting the plant, the plant broke into 2divisions, they just fell apart. they have 2 old each growths but I saw some signs of offshoots.
