Funny (or ugly) Flower
Default Funny (or ugly) Flower

This is a hybrid between fairrieanum and vini color maudiae type hybrid.
This is its second flowering, and the flower looks funnier this time. like a kid who is scared and frozen up with arms down.

The flower stalk is also much much longer reaching upto my waist from the floor. crazy!

Not sure if I want to keep this or not. hmmmm
The plant is a good grower but getting big too.

It is fairly common but this is an extreme example. Certain fairrieanum clones have petals almost this tightly down-swept. Certain callosum types also have fairly down-swept petals. Perhaps this combines both. It does have very good color.

I think that's what happened here. lol
It does have a nice color and you can sort of see it in the first picture. It is very nice under the sunlight.
The color is about the only thing I like about this thing.
Well, the plant grows well too.
Too big, too long, and funny looking.

Freakish to me.
Last time, the flower opened up looking just like this, but then the dorsal did get rounder and bigger.

I will have to agree, kind of odd looking. But as said color is nice and I like the sound of the spike being so long.

The color is lovely. I could see that the flower could grow on you, like a little cutie trying to be a big guy.

I actually like this one a lot. It's like a vinicolor fairrieanum, and what could be prettier than that? Really cute and nice pictures.
