Wow, this has been a really helpful thread for me actually. I recently impulse purchased four paphs at a local show, one of which is apparently topaz magic (tag says Paph sorcerors stone x Incharm Topaz). It has three buds/stems that look fairly close to blooming, and has something like six plants (side growths?) in the pot. But the longest leaves are maybe 5 inches long from base to tip. Did I just get super lucky or is this thing going to grow into monster size?

The biggest one I bought (Paph Valwin x moquetteanum) is still only ~14 inches across (and is now blooming), so I just kind of assumed paphs were smallish. Sorry if these are stupid questions/assumptions, I'm just totally new to paphs and had no idea they got so large.

If plant has 6 fans, it is probably as large as it is going to get. With 5" leaves (= 10" fans), it is medium to medium+ size for this hybrid.

Please post a photo when flowers open.

I definitely will. I'm guessing (based solely on the rate the other plant opened) the first will be in a week or two with the other two staggered a little behind that.

Unfortunately, my plant is in critical condition.
I noticed the leaves continue to turn yellow and I checked the roots just in case.
Oh, well...there were all gone. I hope for the best but wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of the plant.
Dang it!
