Wow! Such beauties! Love them all but the deep maroon color of the one in the 4th pic makes it my fav. Just gorgeous

That one has a few siblings that are coming into spike also.
Well, actually one opened today.
I'll post pictures soon. It's even prettier.

Bull dog? Multi-floral? species paph??
Whatever it is, you must be thrilled after nursing them for all this time!

Almost all my bull dogs are in sheath as well and my only strap leaf species, henryanum is beginning to open.
I'm so excited!!!

You got a nice one, then.

It may spike any time now. It takes about one year or less to bloom for the second time. Rarely over one year.
Then, after the second bloom, these tend to bloom quite often.

Some of them are just slow or they want to grow into a little clump before flowering again, and this type makes a great show because it sends up a few spikes at the same time at relatively a young age.
