It's been about three weeks since the spike appeared, and now I can see the developing bud inside.
It should come out of that sheath very soon now.

With this rate so far, I don't think the wait will be too long. I say less than two months.
I can almost see it grow!

I hope the flower will be to my liking.

Mine is finally showing a small spike about the same as in your picture! I'll follow yours and hope mine is close behind
