Holy cow! That sounds scary!
Sometimes I wonder what kind of strong chemicals come with my orchids that have been grown in the commercial growers.
Will washing the plant down with water be enough to dissolve any residues on the plant surface??

I have a bottle from HD that is rose 3 in 1.
I actually have two that are of the same name, but one is need oil based and the other is sulfur based.
I have found that my parvi hybrids react badly while maudiae types do not seem to mind at all.
The thing is my seedlings are parvi hybrids, so I'm worried that spraying will just completely kill them off, given the size of the seedlings.
I guess I'll just have to toss the diseased ones and try to keep the survivors as happy as possible.
I mean I still have enough plants. I tossed about 4 initially for root damage ( I accidently pull them off trying to separate the plants), then I tossed one last month becuase it was nearly rotted out at the base, and now I see about 5-7 smallest ones are showing brown rot, which I think I will just throw away.
I still have about 30 large healthy seedilngs from the same batch.
So, I guess it is not worth the risk using something that is not good for my health and something that might just aid in killing the little delicate plants.
Oh, well...
I was just looking for something in case I buy flask in the future and want to prevent loss, but some loss is perhaps just a reality I have to accept.
Thank you for all the input, everyone!

I should clarify that I spray on my open balcony, allow plants to dry completely and then return all the plants indoors.

I think it was you who posted the survival rate of paphiopedilum seedlings a short while ago?
I remember the rate was pretty high in general with a excpetion of certain very sensitive species which nearly all died out.
You said you did not spray your seedlings.
