I accidently knocked off this flower but it had been in bloom for many weeks, and there is a second spike developing.

It is a primary hybrid between delenatii and malipoense.
I had bad luck with my first two, one rotted to death when the first flower just began to open, and the second one opened up badly crippled.

This one is at least "normal"
I do not sense any fragrance at all as these are often described as such.

I wanted to show the shiny dark red staminode and then the overall subtle pink tone of the flower. I know, it's lame that I used my towel.

Now I'm looking forward to this next bloom on this plant.

I like the texture of the towel

I don't know- I think paph buds are my favorites. They have so much character. Beautiful bloom!

I've got two Lynleigh Koopowitz. One of them is an older clone using traditional parents. The other is a newer clone using the dunkel form of delenatii.

The older one is noticeably fragrant all day, where as the newer one is faintly fragrant early and late in the day, but otherwise not fragrant. So, there's a good amount of variation, even though both parents are traditionally fragrant.

The color on yours is pretty good. One of my LK's (the dunkel form) is in bloom now as well, and even though it's using the darker form of delenatii, the color on your flower is much better in my opinion.

The one with delenatii dunkel did not turn out darker than the regular LK?
I almost bought one, then I did not since I had already bought three. lol and now I have a whole bunch of parvis that are supposedly very similar in flower shape and color as LK, so no more shopping for a while.

I know. I would have been quite upset if there wasn't another one growing.
