Paph druryi Male
Default Paph druryi

I got this plant last year late April, with eleven growths on it. After it finished blooming, I potted it in a 5" pot with good drainage.

I grow my druryi under T5HO bulbs - very close to them, in fact. LOTS OF LIGHT. I use seaweed once a month, and when transplanting, I soak for a good hour. Regular k-lite with the rest of the plants, and some TLC.

It grew so much this year, it out-grew the pot, with the growths sticking out the sides. It doubled in size - to 21 growths!

So, I just divided it. I didn't have a pot that was wide enough to accommodate the way it's growing on a long rhizome as well as fanning out. The only ones I had would have been 7.5" and then way too deep with too much volume.

Snip Snip!

Here is what I ended up with - the avatar picture is my old avatar, a flower from this plant from last year.

Fabulous! Look at the foliage! Look at the roots! That is how they should all look!
