Default A Few New Ones

Luckily, I got a replacement of Lynleigh Koopowitz that I just recently lost to rot.
It was very upsetting because the flower was about to open but then I never got to see it fully open.

I just picked up another LK.
I am happy and hopeful.
It is in bud. The plant is much smaller.
This one seems to be a better grower as well as it has one previously bloomed growth and a new fan starting while working on a spike!
The parent used are different as well.

Then I picked up another one of Norito Hasegawa.
The smaller one in the picture is what I bought and the bigger one is what I already have.
I did not realize I was getting a seedling and I paid a lot I think. plus, I found some mealy bugs at home. I picked them off all I could find, but I am keeping close eyes on the plant.
It better be a beauty when it finally blooms one day.

Last, I decided to try venustum. This one is a nice little clump with two bloomed fans and two new fans.
I didn't realize venustum was so small. I have seen some big ones before. Well, it fits in nicely though.
I am so looking forward to that green brain like pouch.

Thank you all.
Well, that LK turned out to be a freak. The flower was horribly malformed. I still have the plant because I wanted to give it one more chance.

Both NH have been growing very slowly.

The venustum also had quite a few mealy bugs.
I was so frustrated that I almost called up the vendor to return, but I just sprayed the plant instead.
Well, spraying killed all the bugs but it also killed two spikes. I know, dang! right?
Well, the plant developed three more new growths, two of which are spiking at the moment.
The bud does not look so nice, but I'm looking forward to the open bloom anyways. lol

The plants look really healthy, so I'm sure you'll get some great blooms in a bit. Would love to see pictures when you get blooms. I only have one paph so far. I want to make sure I can grow it before I get more. lol

Venustum has one bud that looks like it will open this next week.

What kind of paph have you got?
