Paph niveum
Bought this plant several years ago. It bloomed once before, but I was away and did not see the flower. It opened just in time to be included in my exhibit at the Deep Cut Orchid Show.
I have not seen enough niveum flowers, to judge whether this one is good, bad or indifferent, so I invite comments from the OB.

Beautiful bloom. I like tiny freckles on it...

It looks like it has the potential to be a nice round form. It just needs to open up a bit more. The staminoid is a bit cockeyed too. Other than that it's awesome.

Ditto to quiltergals comments. The only drawback other than the twisted staminode is the space between the petals and the dorsal sepal, which may resolve itself. This is a nice round form of P. niveum and one that I find the most pleasing and desirable.

I think it is absolutely gorgeous. I'm no orchid judge so I find its quirks to be part of its beauty!!
I bought a seedling Niveum about a year ago...painfully slow grower for me but the foliage is so wonderful. Do you detect a fragrance? I have never seen one in bloom in real life but I was told some are quite sweetly fragrant.

That's what I was going to say.
Round form, but cupped.

You might be talking about parvis? Some delenatii, malipoense, and emorsonii are scented.
I don't think brachys are scented. are they??

Not Really too sure. I don't know too much about Paphs. When looking up culture for niveum I do remember quite a few websites listing it as fragrant including Orchids Limited list it as scented.
To be honest before reading that I didn't think any Paphs were fragrant.

Interesting.
I have four of them, none of them scented. Then again, four is really small sample size, isn't it?
Some could be scented I guess, but the named paphs above in the parvi group are known to be scented.
