I hope so! Sometime they do crazy things.
I had one that always had one new fan at a time, then it developed two new fans at the same time. Well, my excitement was rather short-lived as one of the two stopped growing further.

I think it is mostly individual plant's genetic and vigor, but the environment also has some influence.
I obviously do not have ideal environment. lol
