Default Ugly but nice color

I had such high hope for this one, but it opened up very deformed.

It was green initially, but then gradually turned this golden yellow and I am totally in love with this color.

One of its parent is called Rich Yellow.

It does have large size dorsal and petals. but what a pity the flower is crooked.

It grows well and has two new fans going, so I am going to keep it for the fun of watching them grow and with some hope that the next bloom will open up more.

The first picture shows the accurate color. It is deep butter yellow.

No, it has been in bloom for over one month and hasn't changed at all.

"Ugly" is a bit strong. Reminds me of one of those dogs with the droopy ears. Excellent color!

It is, right?
That's the main reason I am not tossing it at the moment, plus my little hope that it will open up normally on its next bloom.

You have a good sense of imagination.
The petals are quite large and do look sort of like ears.

There is definitely some potential here, but I will have wait at least one year or two since that is how often these guys bloom for me. sigh~

Crookedness & slipper dimples might well correct themselves in a future blooming. If petals were symmetrical (= current left petal), it wouldn't be so bad, though it comes nowhere near awardable standards.
