Paph. helenae Again!
Wow, this one just never quits. I never did get around to repotting it so I'm sure it would have performed much better if I had. That said, it bloomed for me in July, and again in December. I'm soooo not complaining! Some of the oldest growths are starting to die off.

Terri - any culture recommendations? I have a small one with three growths. I'm giving it a lot of light and all the other basics. Any hints are appreciated!

Jeremy, I'm growing it fairly bright, about 2000 fc (it's near the fairrieanum). It was a multi growth plant when I bought it in March 2010. It sent up it's first spike in July 2010, and has bloomed at least twice a year since then. It really appreciates an annual repot, which I missed this year. I fertilize year round, and try not to let it go dry between waterings. Temps in summer probably max out in the mid 80's. Winter sees max temps of around 69. Pretty basic stuff, and I don't find it at all fussy. I'm guessing that yours just isn't big enough to bloom yet.

That's a cutie! I really like the white halo on the dorsal.

I love that intense bright yellow and gloss! and it is a free bloomer! I think I should get one.
I have seen some really nice all yellow hybrid involving this species and it was really something!
couldn't afford it to say the least. lol
