This is a cross between paph species tonsum and a coloratum colored "maudiae" type.

It has a quite large flower on a tall stem. beautiful leaves to boot!

I think the tonsum influence came out nicely in the shape and the texture (very shiny) and well mixed with coloratum color.

The first two week after the flower opened, the dorsal stayed round, which I liked. but then the tonsum dorsal really kicked in, which I think I like even better now.

I should have gotten more of these. oh, well,,I am happy with this one.

I like it! I got the species recently and while it's got a nice shape and clearly contributes to hybridization, it it's not very stunning in of itself. Flowers like this make it worth it!

I want to name it hairy tonsum.
I read how the word tonsum means shaven due to the lack of hairs on the petals on the species flower.

This hybrid shows a strong influence of tonsum, but it has those hairs. lol
