Paph. Voodoo and Paph. HOF Jumbo
I didn't want to put the full name in the title, but I came away from a recent orchid show with some pretty cool paphs. First one is Paph. fairrieanum "Glen #8" x Ahinga "HOF Jumbo." The color on this one looks really good, I find that I am drawn to darker or vibrant paphs. I am very worried that the bud might blast, it's only been a week but I see no change. I have not repotted and have only watered once since I got it. Let's hope he adjusts to my conditions and will open for me.

Ok, the second one is a Paph. Hsinying rubyweb "PA2096#1" x Paph. Magic leopard "Voodoo." I'm worried that this one might bud blast as well. He's also in bark, but it's thinner and retains moisture very well. The color of the bud looks to be amazing and I fell in love with the varied leaves.

You know, now that I look at the photos from when I first brought the Jumbo home the bud has perked up. The bud is more horizontal than what the photos shows. So, whew, that's promising!

If the bud has started perking up, that's definitely a good sign. When I got my first Paph, my little cerveranum, it was in bud. The spike was lying on one of the leaves at first, but after a couple of days, it had perked up considerably. It managed to flower after that, so I'm positive yours will pull it off as well.
Absolutely LOVE the foliage on the Paph. Hsinying rubyweb "PA2096#1". And that bud looks promising!

Well here's an update on these guys. The fairrieanum's bud did blast. I checked on it and it fell off right in my hand. That's alright, it's pushing a whole new fan, I'll post a photo of that later. BUT, I'm super excited because the VooDoo did bloom. It didn't open quite all the way, but I don't care. It's pretty cool, the bloom is about the size of my hand!

I just checked the dates on my photos, it took just over a month from when I took it home and took photos, to when it actually bloomed.
