That's just lovely. I had one very much like this once. It was very big and tall. Then of course I killed it. Have been looking for one like it. I don't think my leaves were as light as yours though and maybe the blooms a bit darker. I loved that one but it was a noID.

Once I see the small bud above the leaves, I give about two months max and they open up.

There are paphs, like Malipoense that takes forever literally, like 6 months!

Then Supersuk I had while ago took some time as well.

Anyways, pretty flower you got!
I have a few of that exact same (the name and number and everything) and all bloomed with very round and large. the color varied a bit though. I do have one favorite and intend to get rid of the rest.

Then I have about two or three of that cross but with different numbers, instead 2096, it is 3, and instead voodoo, it is Midnight Magic AM/AOS.
One of them is very very very dark and I'm looking forward to the open bloom. another two three weeks to go.

It's driving me crazy. lol

Funny thing is the leaves are actually lighter. Well, let me try and do my best describe it.

All my 2096 and voodoo hybrids have nearly identical leaves as the one pictured in this thread. Dark green markings on silvery background on the upper side, then rather dark wine colored back side.
The individual difference I see on my plants are just the size. Some have bigger leaves than others.

Now, this other one with #3 and Midnight Magic,
the upper side of the leaves have no silver background but the whole thing is just dirty olive green with dark markings that are very dull and slim.
The under side of the leaves are not dark but dirty olive green. lol
Then both sides have just hint of dark wine hue here and there.

The bud is literally black at the moment, but I've seen some really dark bud turning lighter and lighter as they get close to opening up, so I'm yet to see how it all turns out!

Darker leaves are not necessarily an indication of very dark flower as widely rumored.
Some of the darkest vinis I have all have light green leaves.
All vinis have one thing in common though, back side of the leaves, especially near the base of the plant will always show varying degree of wine coloring.

See now if my memory is not tricking me as I remember mine did indeed have the silver on the leaves and also the dark wine backing on the undersides. It is hard for me as I didn't know a thing about my plants at the time so I guess I should be shocked which I am that I even got it to bloom. But only the once as I killed it shortly there after. Well some mealy bugs didn't help it any.
