I have a farrieanum and I hope my flowers will be as pretty as yours, that is, if I can get it to bloom!

Definitely a fairieanum and I haven't seen this happen before. Very interesting.

Love it. I've been told this is not easy to grow. Do you agree?

I was going to ask the same thing since you said you had this for a number of years, and you bloomed this twice.

How do you grow this? light and temperature (any cooling during the winter?)

By the way, it does look like a straight species to me. and although I do not have this plant, I do have a few hybrids involving fairrieanum, which seem to impart the characteristic of double budding at times.

I have also seen species fairrieanum with two flowers per stem at a nursery. more than one plant, so it does happen and it looked better when it forms a clump as it make it look really bounty in bloom!

How big was it when you first obtain it and how much has it grown over the years?

My fairrie hybrids seem to be quite the vigorous growers making a clump easily.
